Active production — no last-time-buy pressure
The FM24C64B-GTR: It is fully RoHS3 compliant, so no exemption expiry or material-change risk for EU-market builds.
64 Kbit FRAM — non-volatile with no write endurance limit
Organised as 8K x 8, this is a ferroelectric RAM (FRAM) that combines the non-volatility of EEPROM with the write speed and endurance of SRAM — no page-erase cycle, no wear-leveling needed, and no 10⁵/10⁶ write-limit ceiling. The I²C interface runs at up to 1 MHz, and the 550 ns access time means a byte write completes in the same bus cycle as a read — no polling for write-complete, no page-write delay.
Supply and temperature — industrial-grade, single 5 V rail
Operates from 4.5 V to 5.5 V — a single 5 V ±10 % rail is sufficient, which matches legacy 5 V logic and many microcontroller power domains without an extra regulator. Rated for -40 °C to +85 °C ambient, covering industrial enclosures, outdoor telecom cabinets, and automotive cabin (non-engine-bay) applications.
SOIC-8 footprint — drop-in for legacy EEPROM sockets
Supplied in an 8-SOIC (3.90 mm width) package, surface-mount, with a 1.27 mm pitch that matches industry-standard EEPROM footprints — no board spin needed when migrating from a serial EEPROM to FRAM. Available in Tape & Reel or Cut Tape, so it fits both prototype hand-assembly and production pick-and-place runs.
