The 84 general-purpose I/O pins in a 100-LQFP package give plenty of headroom for parallel peripherals or a wide control bus.
Supply range and temperature — industrial and battery-ready
On-chip peripherals include LCD drive, low-voltage detect, power-on reset, PWM, and a watchdog timer — enough to keep a control loop alive without external supervisor ICs.
On-chip analog — ADC and DAC
A 16-channel, 12-bit ADC and two 10-bit DACs are integrated, reducing external component count for analog sensor inputs and setpoint outputs. The 12-bit resolution is adequate for current-sense feedback or temperature monitoring; the 10-bit DAC can drive a simple analog reference or trim voltage.
Connectivity and serial interfaces
Serial connectivity includes CSIO, I²C, and UART/USART. No USB or CAN on this variant — if you need those, look at the FM3 MB9B310R series sibling (CY9BF314RPMC-G-JNE2) which adds USB and LINbus at 144 MHz.
Lifecycle and compliance
The 100-LQFP (14x14 mm) package is a standard footprint, easy to hand-solder or reflow in a rework station — no hot-air station required for a field swap.
