Capacitive touch controller for button arrays
The Infineon CY8CMBR3108-LQXIT is a dedicated capacitive touch-sense controller from the CapSense® Express™ SmartSense™ series, designed to replace mechanical buttons with touch interfaces. It handles up to 8 capacitive touch inputs and includes proximity detection, so a finger approaching the surface can wake the system before a button is pressed. The part communicates over I²C, making it a straightforward add-on to any host MCU that has a spare I²C bus. Four integrated LED driver channels provide backlighting for the touch buttons, reducing external component count.
