CapSense Express button controller — what it replaces
The Infineon (Cypress) CY8CMBR2110-24LQXI is a dedicated capacitive touch-sensing controller from the CapSense® Express™ family. It handles up to 10 button inputs and drives up to 10 LED channels directly, with the tuning done through the I²C interface — no firmware development required.
Supply voltage and I/O — what fits the BOM
The 1.71 V minimum supply is low enough to work with a deeply discharged lithium cell, and the 5.5 V maximum covers 5 V logic and unregulated USB VBUS. The 10 button inputs are self-capacitance only — there is no proximity detection on this variant, so if you need a wake-on-approach gesture, look at the CapSense proximity-enabled siblings. Each of the 10 LED driver channels can sink enough current for a standard indicator LED, eliminating a separate LED driver IC on the board.
Package and temperature grade for the environment
The 32-QFN (5x5 mm) with exposed pad (32-UFQFN Exposed Pad) is a compact surface-mount package suited for dense PCBs.
Lifecycle and sourcing
It is ROHS3 compliant.
