150 MHz Cortex-M4 with on-chip memory for signal-chain and HMI
The CY8C6136BZI-F14 is a PSoC® 6 MCU built around a 150 MHz ARM® Cortex®-M4 single-core processor — the throughput ceiling for real-time control loops, sensor fusion, and audio processing without needing an external DSP. On-chip memory includes 512 KB flash for firmware, 128 KB SRAM for data and stack, and a separate 32 KB EEPROM block for calibration constants or logs that survive power loss — no external serial EEPROM needed for many designs. The 124-VFBGA (9x9 mm) package brings 104 I/O in a compact BGA footprint.
Peripheral set and mixed-signal integration
Integrated CapSense blocks handle capacitive touch sensing for HMI panels — no external touch controller. The 8-channel 12-bit SAR ADC (A/D 8x12b SAR) and a single 12-bit DAC (D/A 1x12b) cover sensor front-ends and analog output loops. Connectivity spans I²C, SPI, QSPI, UART/USART, LINbus, and USB — enough for industrial fieldbus bridging or USB-to-serial dongle applications. The I²S peripheral routes digital audio data directly to a codec. The internal oscillator (Oscillator Type: Internal) saves a crystal for many applications, though an external clock can still be fed in for tighter timing.
It is ROHS3 compliant, suitable for new designs under current environmental regulations.
