48 MHz Cortex-M0 with integrated analog and touch
The CY8C4246LTI-M475 is an ARM Cortex-M0 MCU running at 48 MHz with 64 KB flash and 8 KB SRAM — enough headroom for a CapSense touch interface driving a small LCD while handling serial traffic over I²C, SPI, or UART without a separate host processor. The 55 GPIOs in a 68-QFN package (8x8 mm) let you connect multiple sensors, a keypad, and a display without resorting to a port expander, but the 0.5 mm pitch demands a 4-layer board for clean fan-out and decoupling.
Analog front-end and peripheral mix
A 16-channel 12-bit SAR ADC and four 8-bit DACs provide enough analog capture and output for a multi-sensor control panel — the ADC scans touch electrodes, temperature, and voltage dividers, while the DACs drive analog indicators or bias references. On-chip CapSense with SmartSense auto-tuning eliminates the need for external capacitive-sensing ICs; the LCD drive can directly segment a glass panel without a separate controller, saving BOM cost and board area.
