It carries 16 KB of on-chip Flash program memory and operates from a 1.71 V supply rail, suiting it for battery-powered and portable instrumentation where a single low-voltage rail is available. What distinguishes this part from a plain digital MCU is the integrated mixed-signal front-end: an 8-channel 12-bit SAR ADC and two current-output IDACs, plus a CapSense touch-sensing block and an LCD drive controller. These peripherals let a single chip handle capacitive touch buttons, sliders, or proximity sensing alongside basic analog measurement without external converter ICs.
