48 MHz Cortex-M0+ with on-chip CapSense and dual ADC
The CY8C4146LQI-S433 is an Infineon PSOC® 4 MCU built around a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0+ core clocked at 48 MHz. What sets this part apart in the PSOC 4 family is the integrated CapSense block — a hardware capacitive-sensing engine that handles touch buttons, sliders, and proximity detection without an external controller. The mixed-signal front end includes a 16-channel 10-bit Slope ADC, a 16-channel 12-bit SAR ADC, and two IDAC outputs, covering sensor readout and analog loop control in a single chip.
Supply range and temperature grade for industrial designs
Operating from 1.71 V to 5.5 V, the CY8C4146LQI-S433 spans single-cell Li-ion through 5 V logic rails without an external regulator. The internal oscillator eliminates the external crystal for many applications, saving two pins and a passive component.
Active production — sourcing through standard distribution
For BOM positions that require a second-source option, the Infineon XMC1402 series (e.g., XMC1402Q048X0128AAXUMA1) offers a similar Cortex-M0 core at 48 MHz with 34 I/O in a 48-pin QFP package, though it lacks CapSense and the dual-ADC architecture of the PSOC 4. The XMC1402 parts are rated to 105°C, a wider temperature range than the CY8C4146LQI-S433's 85°C ceiling.
