48MHz Cortex-M0+ with on-chip CapSense and mixed-signal
The CY8C4146LQI-S422T is a PSoC 4 ARM Cortex-M0+ MCU clocked at 48MHz, with 64KB Flash and 8KB RAM — enough headroom for a touch-sense UI, sensor fusion, or motor-control loop without external memory. On-chip CapSense and LCD drive eliminate the external touch controller and segment-driver IC, saving BOM cost and board area in human-machine interface designs.
Mixed-signal front-end and serial connectivity
The ADC subsystem pairs a 16-channel 10-bit slope converter with a 16-channel 12-bit SAR converter — the slope ADC handles slow, high-resolution measurements (temperature, battery voltage) while the SAR ADC captures faster signals (current sense, audio envelope) without contention. Two IDAC outputs provide programmable current sources for sensor excitation or closed-loop control — useful for driving an RTD or biasing a photodiode without an external DAC.
