Active lifecycle — Cortex-M0 with 32 KB flash
The CY8C4125AXI-473 is an active-production ARM Cortex-M0 MCU in the PSoC 4 CY8C4100 series, running at 24 MHz with 32 KB flash and 4 KB RAM. Industrial temperature grade (-40 to 85 °C) covers outdoor enclosures, engine-bay-adjacent electronics, and cold-storage environments — the 44-TQFP package dissipates heat through the exposed pad to the PCB copper.
Memory budget and peripheral fit for control loops
32 KB of on-chip flash leaves room for a real-time control loop, a communication stack (I²C, SPI, UART, LIN), and a small RTOS kernel — 4 KB SRAM is tight for large buffers but sufficient for sensor data aggregation and state machines. The 8-channel 12-bit SAR ADC samples at rates suitable for motor-current sensing or multi-channel analog front-ends; the two IDAC outputs drive external sensor excitation or closed-loop biasing without an external DAC.
