The Infineon CY8C4124LQI-S433 is a PSoC® 4 CY8C4100S series microcontroller built around an ARM® Cortex®-M0+ core running at 24 MHz. It packs 34 general-purpose I/O, an internal oscillator, and a dense mixed-signal front end: 16-channel 10-bit Slope ADC, 16-channel 12-bit SAR ADC, and two IDAC outputs. This is the value-line tier of the PSoC 4 family, sized for cost-sensitive human-machine interface and sensor-fusion applications where the analog integration saves external components.
24 MHz core — where it fits against the 48 MHz siblings
The 24 MHz fuse speed is the primary performance differentiator within the PSoC 4 family. The CY8C4245LQI-483 runs at 48 MHz with the same Cortex-M0 core and 34 I/O count, but swaps the ADC mix to 8x12b SAR only — no 10b Slope channels. If your application needs the 16-channel 10b Slope ADC for ratiometric sensor scanning or the extra SAR channels, the CY8C4124LQI-S433 is the correct fit. The 48 MHz parts handle higher-throughput control loops or faster communication polling; the 24 MHz parts save on BOM cost and power for touch, display, and low-speed sensor tasks.

Internal oscillator means no external crystal is required for the core clock, though the I²C and UART peripherals can use an external reference if tighter timing is needed. The 34 I/O count includes the CapSense and LCD drive pins, so budget those against your touch-channel and segment count before committing the footprint.
