48 MHz Cortex-M0+ with CapSense and LCD drive
The CY8C4045AZI-S413 is an ARM Cortex-M0+ MCU clocked at 48 MHz, part of Infineon's PSoC 4 CY8C4000S series. It packs 32 KB of flash and 4 KB of RAM — enough for a sensor-fusion hub or a capacitive-touch user interface with a small display. The industrial temperature grade (-40°C to 85°C) suits it for factory-floor sensor nodes, outdoor HVAC controllers, and under-hood automotive modules that see thermal cycling.
Peripheral set for touch and serial bridging
On-chip CapSense gives you capacitive touch sensing without an external controller — four buttons or a slider can be implemented directly on the PCB copper. The LCD drive peripheral can run a segment LCD, so a simple numeric or icon display needs no separate driver IC. Serial connectivity covers I²C, SPI, UART, LIN, IrDA, and SmartCard — enough to talk to a MEMS sensor array, a Bluetooth module, or a CAN transceiver via UART. With 36 GPIOs, you can wire a 16x2 character LCD in 4-bit mode, four touch buttons, and two UARTs without a port expander.

The 0.5 mm pitch means trace widths of 0.18 mm and clearances of 0.15 mm are typical for fan-out — achievable with most budget PCB fabs. No special via-in-pad or microvia required.
