Core and memory budget
The CY8C4013LQI-411 runs an ARM Cortex-M0 core at 16 MHz — enough for polling a few sensors over I2C or driving a simple PWM output, but not for real-time DSP or heavy protocol stacks. On-chip memory is 8 KB flash and 2 KB RAM. That flash holds the application code plus a bootloader; the RAM must cover the stack, heap, and any I2C buffers. Firmware that exceeds these limits forces a move up the PSoC 4 family.
Package and board integration
Housed in a 16-UFQFN with exposed pad, 3x3 mm body (16-QFN per the supplier device package). Surface-mount only; no socket option.
Peripherals and I/O count
12 GPIOs share the package with the I2C interface — one serial bus only, no SPI or UART on this variant. The I2C peripheral handles sensor readout or communication with a host controller. Two DAC channels (1x 7-bit, 1x 8-bit) provide analog output for trimming or signal generation, though the resolution is coarse.
