PSoC 1 MCU with configurable analog and digital blocks
The CY8C29566-24AXIT is an 8-bit M8C-core microcontroller from the PSoC 1 CY8C29xxx series, combining a 24 MHz CPU with on-chip configurable analog and digital blocks that reduce external component count for sensor interfacing and control loops. Program memory is 32 KB of flash (32K x 8), with 2K x 8 of SRAM for data buffering and stack — enough headroom for a moderate application firmware image and runtime variables without external memory. The integrated data converters include a 12-channel, 14-bit ADC and a 4-channel, 9-bit DAC, allowing direct connection to analog sensors and actuators without external converters in many mixed-signal designs. Forty general-purpose I/O pins, combined with I²C, SPI, and UART/USART serial interfaces, give flexibility for connecting to displays, keypads, memory, and industrial fieldbus peripherals.
Industrial temperature range and wide supply voltage
On-chip peripherals include POR (power-on reset), PWM for motor or LED dimming, and WDT for system supervision — these reduce the need for external supervisor ICs and simplify the BOM.

Housed in a 44-lead LQFP with a 10x10 mm body (supplier device package 44-TQFP,), the 0.8 mm pitch is manageable with standard soldering irons and hot-air rework stations — no BGA underfill or x-ray inspection needed. Surface-mount mounting means the part sits flat on the PCB; the exposed pad (if present) aids thermal dissipation but is not required for most applications at the 24 MHz clock rate.
