Mixed-signal 8-bit controller with on-chip analog
The CY8C24533-24PVXI is an 8-bit PSoC1 microcontroller from Infineon's CY8C24xxx series, built around the M8C core clocked at 24 MHz. What distinguishes this part in the 8-bit space is the on-chip mixed-signal array: a 14-bit ADC and an 8-bit DAC, letting it handle analog sensor conditioning and control loops without an external converter. The internal oscillator eliminates the crystal, saving two board pins and the associated BOM line.
Supply range and temperature grade for industrial duty
On-chip peripherals include LVD (low-voltage detect), POR (power-on reset), PWM outputs, and a watchdog timer — these reduce the external supervisor and timer IC count in a compact control design. Connectivity covers I²C, SPI, UART/USART, and IrDA, enough for most serial sensor buses and debug links.
