What this PSoC 1 brings to the board
The Infineon CY8C24423A-24LTXIT is an 8-bit PSoC 1 microcontroller built around the M8C core clocked at 24 MHz. It packs 4 KB of Flash and 256 x 8 bytes of RAM, plus a 10-channel 14-bit ADC and a 2-channel 9-bit DAC on-chip — mixed-signal integration that saves board space and BOM cost in sensor-front-end or control-loop designs where you'd otherwise need a separate ADC and op-amp stage. Connectivity covers I²C, SPI, and UART/USART, and the 24 general-purpose I/O lines are enough for a keypad matrix, a small character LCD, and a handful of discrete sensors. The internal oscillator keeps the BOM lean — no external crystal needed for many applications. Supply range from 2.4 V to 5.25 V. The -40°C to 85°C industrial temperature grade suits outdoor telecom cabinets, factory-floor sensor pods, and HVAC controller boards.
Active, ROHS3, and available
This part carries an Active lifecycle status and ROHS3 compliance. No last-time-buy notice, no end-of-life pressure — it's a current-production line that Infineon continues to support.
