The CY8C22345-24PVXA is a Cypress PSOC 1 mixed-signal array — essentially an 8-bit M8C MCU core at 24 MHz with configurable analog and digital blocks on the same die.
Three 10-bit SAR ADC channels are integrated, so you can digitise slow analog signals — thermistor, potentiometer, current-sense resistor — without an external converter. At 24 MHz the M8C core has enough headroom for bit-banged protocols if the hardware blocks are occupied.
Operating from a 3 V supply, the device is specified across -40 to 85 °C. That covers most outdoor telecom cabinets, engine-bay electronics, and factory-floor controllers without needing a commercial-temperature part that would derate in summer heat.
Lifecycle status — still active, no end-of-life concern
Cypress (now Infineon) lists the CY8C22345-24PVXA as Active.
