The integrated 28-channel 8-bit ADC (A/D 28x8b) is the headline analog resource. In a capacitive-sensing or multi-sensor panel design, it replaces a separate ADC chip and its reference, saving board area and supply-chain complexity. The 8-bit resolution is adequate for touch-slider position, temperature monitoring, or threshold-detection tasks; applications needing 12-bit or better accuracy should look at the CY8C29xxx siblings with 14-bit converters.
