PSoC1 at 12 MHz — the 8-bit glue-logic MCU with a wide temp range
The Infineon CY8C21512-12PVXE is an 8-bit PSoC1 microcontroller built around the M8C core, clocked at 12 MHz.
The M8C core runs at 12 MHz. The 8 KB Flash is sized for moderate firmware — think a fan controller, a battery charger state machine, or a small HMI overlay.
I²C, SPI, UART — three serial buses on one die
That means a single MCU can talk to a temperature sensor over I²C, drive a small SPI display, and send debug or telemetry data out a UART — no external bridge chip needed. The 24 I/O lines leave room for local buttons, LEDs, and a few discrete sensor inputs alongside the serial traffic.
