PSoC 1 configurable mixed-signal MCU in a 20-pin SSOP
The Cypress CY8C21334-12PVXE is an 8-bit PSoC 1 microcontroller from the CY8C21xxx family, built around the proprietary M8C core clocked at 12 MHz.
125°C operating temperature — the key differentiator
It allows the CY8C21334-12PVXE to be placed on the same PCB as a power stage or near an engine bay without a separate thermal budget. The 2.4 V minimum supply voltage also supports single-cell Li-ion or 3.3 V rails with dropout margin, which is useful in battery-backed or energy-harvesting designs.
28-channel ADC and serial interfaces in a small footprint
With 28 analog inputs multiplexed into an 8-bit ADC, this MCU can read a bank of thermistors, potentiometers, or current-sense resistors without an external analog mux. On-chip peripherals include POR, PWM, and WDT, reducing the need for external supervisory ICs.
