The CY8C20436A-24LQXIT is a PSoC-based CapSense controller from Infineon, built around the 8-bit M8C core with 8KB of on-chip FLASH program memory and 1K x 8 bytes of RAM.
The wide Vdd range means the same BOM line can serve a battery-powered sensor running at 1.8V and a panel-mounted controller on a 5V rail, simplifying inventory.
