The Infineon CY7C4421-10JXC is a synchronous FIFO from the CY7C series, organized as 576 positions of 9 bits each (64 x 9). It clocks at 100 MHz, giving an 8 ns access time — the cycle time matches the clock period, so the read pointer advances on every rising edge without wait states.
32-PLCC footprint and board-fit
Housed in a 32-lead PLCC (J-lead) package with a body size of 11.43 x 13.97 mm, the part mounts on the board surface and reflows with standard JEDEC profiles. The J-lead gull-wing alternative — the PLCC footprint is larger than a TQFP but offers better visual inspection of solder joints under the J-bend.
