The CY7C4245-10AXI is a Cypress synchronous FIFO memory organized 4K x 18, clocked at 100 MHz with an 8 ns access time.
5 V supply and industrial temperature range
Runs on a 4.5 V to 5.5 V supply, drawing up to 50 mA.
This part is marked obsolete by Cypress. If you are qualifying a new design, look at current-generation synchronous FIFOs from Cypress (now Infineon) or IDT (now Renesas) in a similar 64-LQFP footprint — but verify pin compatibility against the datasheet, as no direct drop-in replacement is documented here.
Retransmit and programmable flags
Supports retransmit capability, which lets you re-read a block of data from the FIFO without resetting the pointer — useful in packet retry or error-recovery sequences. Programmable flags (almost-full, almost-empty) give the host controller early warning before the FIFO overflows or underflows, reducing the interrupt load on the processor.
Housed in a 64-LQFP package, surface-mount only.
