256×9 synchronous FIFO in 32-TQFP — commercial temp, obsolete status
The Infineon Cypress CY7C4201V-15AXCT is a 256×9 synchronous FIFO memory device designed for uni-directional data buffering at clock rates up to 66.7 MHz, with an 11 ns access time. The part supports depth and width expansion for scaling buffer sizes, and includes programmable flags for status monitoring.
66.7 MHz clock and 11 ns access — timing budget for the bus
At a 66.7 MHz clock period of 15 ns, the 11 ns access time leaves a 4 ns window for setup and hold on the downstream logic. That is tight for a legacy 5 V-tolerant bus but workable with 3.3 V CMOS inputs. The 20 mA maximum supply current is modest for a FIFO of this density; the real power draw depends on toggle rate and output load. Depth and width expansion lets you cascade multiple parts without external mux logic — the expansion pins daisy-chain the flags and shift the chip-select window.
Obsolete — last-time-buy window closed, broker channel only
Cypress (now Infineon) has ended production; the last-time-buy window is closed. Sourcing now runs through independent distribution — surplus, new-old-stock, or broker-channel inventory. Every unit we quote is physically inspected: date-code and marking consistency checked against Infineon's factory records, and we can arrange decap/X-ray for lot-level authentication on request.
