256Kbit asynchronous SRAM for 5 V legacy buses
The CY7C199CNL-15VXC is a 256Kbit asynchronous SRAM from Infineon (formerly Cypress), organized 32K x 8 with a 15 ns access time and a 4.5–5.5 V supply rail. It is housed in a 28-SOJ surface-mount package and rated for 0–70°C commercial operation. The 15 ns access time and 15 ns write cycle time suit it for byte-wide data buses in legacy 5 V microcontroller or DSP systems where bus timing margin is tight.
Infineon lists the CY7C199CNL-15VXC as Obsolete. For existing BOM lines, procurement should plan for a last-time buy or identify a pin-compatible replacement. We source this part through our independent distribution network. Submit an RFQ for a firm price and lead time.
28-SOJ footprint and supply rail constraints
The 28-SOJ package (0.300-inch body width, 7.62 mm) is a JEDEC-standard SOJ footprint. The commercial temperature range (0–70°C) limits use to indoor, controlled environments. Industrial or extended-temperature applications require a different suffix (e.g., CY7C199CNL-15VXI for -40 to 85°C).
