New-production allocations are no longer available through the factory channel. For BOM lines that still require this exact part, the supply path runs through independent distribution and surplus inventory. Buyers should factor in that each procurement lot may carry a different date code and that the part is single-sourced — no second-source manufacturer produces a drop-in QDR II 72 Mbit at 250 MHz.
165-ball FBGA — layout and rework notes
The package is a 165-ball FBGA measuring 15 x 17 mm. Decoupling should follow the QDR II layout guide: one 0.1 µF per supply ball pair, plus a bulk 10 µF on the 1.8 V rail within 5 mm of the package edge. Rework with a bottom-side preheat profile; the 15 x 17 mm body needs a thermocouple on the corner ball to avoid cold joints.
