The Cypress CY7C1318CV18-200BZXC is an 18 Mbit synchronous SRAM with a Double Data Rate II interface — it transfers data on both clock edges at a 200 MHz clock rate. Organized as 1M x 18, it is designed for high-throughput buffer applications where the bus needs an 18-bit word width.
At 200 MHz clock with DDR II signaling, the part delivers back-to-back read/write transactions without dead cycles between bursts. That matters when the FPGA or ASIC on the other side of the bus is running a 200 MHz core clock and cannot afford wait states. The 1M x 18 organization gives you 1 M deep by 18-bit wide storage — enough for a moderate-sized packet buffer or a lookup table that needs single-cycle random access.
165-ball FBGA — what the package means for assembly and rework
The surface-mount mounting type is standard for this class of SRAM, but the footprint is not compatible with older 100-pin TQFP or 119-ball BGA SRAMs.
