15 ns access — timing margin in the bus
It defines how quickly data appears on the bus after the address is valid. In a system with a 66 MHz or slower controller, this gives comfortable setup-and-hold margin without wait states. The write cycle time matches the access time at 15 ns, so back-to-back read-write sequences run at the same speed.
2.5V to 2.7V supply — a narrow window to budget
The supply range of 2.5V to 2.7V is tighter than the more common 2.7V to 3.6V or 3.0V to 3.6V found on many 3.3V-logic SRAMs. A 2.5V rail must stay within 200 mV of nominal; a 2.7V rail is the absolute maximum. If your board already runs a 2.5V supply, this part fits directly. If you are stepping down from 3.3V, a dedicated LDO or regulator with tight tolerance is required.
The extended temperature range covers both cold-start at -40°C and continuous operation at 125°C ambient. The 44-SOJ package with its J-bend leads handles the thermal cycling without solder-joint fatigue seen in some gull-wing packages.
Sourcing is limited to independent distribution — new-old-stock or surplus inventory held by brokers and specialty suppliers. Any remaining stock is finite, and once depleted, no further production runs are planned.
