64Kbit dual-port SRAM for shared-memory arbitration
The CY7C024-15JXCT is a 64Kbit asynchronous dual-port SRAM organized as 4K x 16 bits, with a 15 ns access time. It provides two independent ports with separate control, address, and I/O lines, allowing simultaneous read/write access from two bus masters without external arbitration logic. The 15 ns access time keeps the bus turnaround tight enough for most 33 MHz backplanes.
Package and board-fit: 84-PLCC
Housed in an 84-lead PLCC (J-lead) package with a body size of 29.31 x 29.31 mm, the CY7C024-15JXCT uses a surface-mount footprint that has been a standard for dual-port SRAMs since the 1990s. The J-lead form factor is socket-friendly and easier to hand-rework than a QFP, though the 1.27 mm pitch demands care during reflow to avoid solder bridging on the inner rows. Supplied on Tape & Reel (TR), this variant is suited for automated pick-and-place assembly.
Obsolete — sourcing through surplus and broker channels
Infineon lists the CY7C024-15JXCT as Obsolete. The part is no longer manufactured and has no direct pin-compatible replacement from Infineon or Cypress (the original designer). Stock is lot-specific, date-code mixed, and confirmed at quote time. Any RoHS or REACH compliance documentation is per the original Cypress/Infineon manufacturing date code — verify the specific lot's certificate at RFQ.
