15 ns dual-port SRAM for shared-memory designs
The Cypress CY7C019-15AC is a 1.152 Mbit asynchronous dual-port SRAM organized as 128K x 9 bits, with a 15 ns access time. It allows two independent systems or processors to read from and write to the same memory array simultaneously via separate address, data, and control buses, making it suited for shared-memory applications in telecom switches, industrial controllers, and multiprocessor systems.
The 128K x 9 organization provides 128 K words of 9 bits each (the ninth bit often used for parity), matching the width of common 8-bit data buses with parity. The 15 ns write cycle time (word, page) mirrors the read speed, enabling symmetric read/write throughput.
100-TQFP package and 5 V supply
The 100-TQFP (14x14 mm) package is a standard fine-pitch surface-mount footprint, requiring careful PCB layout for signal integrity on the 128K x 9 parallel bus.
