120 mOhm Rds(on) — sizing the conduction loss
Typical on-resistance is 120 mOhm per channel. The 120 mOhm figure is specified at room temperature; expect it to rise 50-60% at 150 °C junction, so derate the continuous current accordingly.
The load voltage range spans 5 V to 28 V, which covers 12 V automotive and 24 V industrial buses directly. No external Vcc supply is needed — the switch is self-powered from the load rail. That simplifies the BOM but means the load voltage must be present before the input logic can turn the switch on.
Fault protection set — open-load detection as a diagnostic edge
Protection includes current limiting (fixed), open-load detect, over-temperature, and over-voltage. The open-load detection is useful for systems that need to know if the load is disconnected — lighting strings, solenoid banks, or remote actuator feeds. Over-temperature shutdown is self-resetting after the die cools.
