Dual high-side switch with 85 mOhm conduction floor
The BTS50452EKAXUMA1 is an Infineon PROFET® dual N-channel high-side power switch in a PG-DSO-14-40-EP exposed-pad package. Each channel delivers up to 3 A continuous from an 8 V to 18 V load supply, with a typical 85 mOhm Rds(on) that sets the I²R heating budget for the PCB layout. The 1:1 input-to-output ratio and On/Off interface simplify the drive — a logic-level enable pin per channel turns the N-channel FET on or off without an external Vcc supply.
Fault protection set for automotive load-bank duty
The Auto Restart feature re-enables the channel after a thermal fault once the junction cools, which keeps a headlamp or fan motor running after a transient overload without a system reset.

The pad is the primary heat path; without it the 3 A continuous output derates significantly above 85°C ambient. The 0.154-inch body width and 3.90 mm exposed-pad footprint match standard SOIC-14 land patterns with a centre thermal land. Confirm the pad-to-ground-plane via array in the layout before committing the PCB.
