Product details

Low-side switch with 35 mOhm Rds(on) and 3.5 A continuous rating

The BTS3134DATMA1 is a single-channel low-side N-channel power switch from Infineon's HITFET® family, built for driving resistive, inductive, and lamp loads in 12 V and 24 V systems. Its 35 mOhm typical on-resistance at 25°C keeps conduction losses low enough that a TO-252-3 (DPak) package with the exposed tab soldered to a reasonable copper area handles 3.5 A continuous without hitting the 150°C junction limit — but that thermal budget closes fast if the tab copper is skimped. Input is a simple On/Off logic level with non-inverting control — no Vcc supply needed, the gate is driven from the logic pin directly. The output is pulled low when the input goes high, so the load connects between the output and the positive supply rail.

The -40°C to 150°C junction temperature range qualifies it for under-hood automotive and high-ambient industrial enclosures where the self-heating from 3.5 A adds to the thermal load.

Frequently asked questions

What is the closest functional second-source for BTS3134DATMA1?

Within the HITFET® family, the BTS142DATMA1 is the closest functional peer — same single low-side N-channel output, same 42 V load rating, same TO-252-3 package. The BTS142 offers a lower 23 mOhm Rds(on) and 4.6 A output with auto-restart behaviour, versus the BTS3134's 35 mOhm and 3.5 A with latch-off after fault. Footprint-compatible, so a BOM swap is possible without a board change.
