The Infineon BTS3110NHUMA1 is a single-channel, protected low-side switch from the HITFET series. It integrates an N-channel power MOSFET with a 150 mOhm typical on-resistance and a rated continuous output current of 1.4 A. It requires no external Vcc supply — the gate drive is self-biased from the load voltage.
Integrated protections reduce BOM count
The BTS3110NHUMA1 includes fixed current limiting, over-temperature shutdown, and over-voltage clamping. These built-in fault protections eliminate the need for external current-sense resistors, TVS diodes, or thermal cutouts in many designs, simplifying the PCB layout and reducing component count. The switch is non-inverting with a 1:1 input-to-output ratio — a logic high on the input turns the output on.
Package and footprint for production
The device is housed in a PG-SOT223-4 package (also known as TO-261-4, TO-261AA), a surface-mount package with a large copper tab for heat sinking.
