The BTS3080EJXUMA1 is a single-channel low-side N-channel power switch from Infineon's HITFET® series, designed to drive resistive, inductive, or lamp loads up to 10 A continuous on a 31 V max supply rail. The input is PWM-compatible with a non-inverting logic level of 3 V to 5.5 V, so a 3.3 V or 5 V microcontroller can drive it directly without a level shifter. Fault protection includes fixed current limiting, over-temperature shutdown, and over-voltage clamping — the auto-restart feature means the switch tries to turn back on after a fault clears, which is handy for driving solenoids or motors that might stall momentarily.
