Single-channel low-side switch with integrated protection

The Infineon BTS3046SDRATMA1 is a single-output, low-side N-channel power switch from the HITFET® family. It switches a grounded load against a positive supply rail, controlled by a non-inverting On/Off logic input. The part integrates fixed current limiting, over-temperature protection, and over-voltage clamping, so the design does not need separate protection components around the switch.

46 mOhm Rds(on) and 3.6 A continuous rating

Typical on-resistance is 46 mOhm, which sets the conduction loss at 3.6 A to about 0.6 W — within the thermal budget of the TO-252-3 package with adequate copper on the drain tab.
