23 mOhm at 2.5 V — the gate-drive story
The BSR802NL6327HTSA1 OptiMOS N-channel shows 23 mOhm max Rds(on) at 2.5 Vgs and 3.7 A. A 1.8 V drive voltage is the minimum; 2.5 V delivers the full rated on-resistance. The 4.7 nC gate charge at 2.5 V keeps switching losses low.
SOT-23-3 — a rework tech's friend
The PG-SC59-3 package is the Infineon name for a standard SOT-23-3 footprint. Three leads, one continuous tab on the drain — the orientation mark is a chamfer on pin 1 side. You can hand-solder this with a fine-tip iron or hit it with hot air at 300°C without worrying about the part cracking. The 500 mW power dissipation at 25°C ambient means the copper pad area on the PCB matters more than the package itself for thermal performance; keep the drain trace wide.
Temperature range — industrial and automotive capable
That puts it in the industrial and automotive under-hood bracket — cold-crank start at -40°C and hot-soak at 125°C ambient are both inside the envelope. The 20 V Vdss gives 5 V headroom on a 12 V rail and comfortable margin on a 5 V rail, but it is not a 24 V truck part.
