Dual pre-biased transistor for automotive and industrial switching
The Infineon BCR48PNH6327 is a dual pre-biased transistor combining one NPN and one PNP die in a single PG-SOT363-6-1 surface-mount package. Each transistor integrates base bias resistors (R1 of 47 kΩ on the NPN, 2.2 kΩ on the PNP, and a shared R2 of 47 kΩ), which eliminates two external resistors per channel from the bill of materials. Rated for a 50 V collector-emitter breakdown and 70 mA continuous collector current, it handles the typical loads found in automotive relay drivers, solenoid actuators, and logic-level interface circuits. The 100 MHz transition frequency keeps switching edges clean for PWM dimming, motor pre-drive, and CAN transceiver enable lines.
AEC-Q101 qualification and temperature range
The qualification covers the full operating junction temperature range typical of under-hood and in-cabin environments.
Saturation voltage and gain at drive conditions
The VCE(sat) is specified at 300 mV maximum with a 500 µA base current driving 10 mA collector current, which is the typical operating point for a logic-level interface or low-current solenoid pre-driver. The minimum DC current gain of 70 at 5 mA, 5 V gives enough headroom to guarantee the output stage saturates even with component tolerances and temperature drift. The 100 nA maximum collector cutoff current (ICBO) keeps leakage negligible in off-state, important for battery-powered modules that must not drain the vehicle's standby supply.
