Pre-biased PNP for automotive I/O — what the ratings mean
The Infineon BCR192E6327 is a PNP pre-biased digital transistor in a SOT-23-3 package, qualified to AEC-Q101 for automotive applications. The built-in bias resistors (R1 = 22 kΩ, R2 = 47 kΩ) eliminate two external passives from the BOM, saving board space and reducing pick-and-place cost on high-volume automotive modules like ECU output drivers, relay coils, and lamp loads. Rated for 50 V collector-emitter breakdown and 100 mA continuous collector current, it handles typical 12 V automotive loads with margin. The 200 MHz transition frequency keeps switching losses low for PWM-driven loads up to a few hundred kilohertz. The 300 mV Vce(sat) at 500 µA base drive and 10 mA collector current means a 3.3 V logic output can saturate the transistor without an extra base resistor — a clean fit for microcontroller GPIOs in engine bay or cabin electronics.
