PNP pre-biased transistor with integrated resistors
The Infineon BCR185WE6327 is a PNP pre-biased digital transistor qualified to AEC-Q101 for automotive applications. It integrates two bias resistors — a 10 kΩ base resistor (R1) and a 47 kΩ base-emitter resistor (R2) — eliminating up to two external components per switching channel. Rated for 50 V collector-emitter breakdown and 100 mA continuous collector current, it handles typical automotive logic-level loads like relay drivers, solenoid pre-drivers, and lamp interface circuits.
Switching performance and saturation voltage
Vce saturation is specified at 300 mV maximum with a base current of 500 µA and collector current of 10 mA — a tight saturation voltage that keeps conduction losses low in on/off switching. The 200 MHz transition frequency supports switching into the low-MHz range, adequate for PWM dimming, solenoid dither, or serial-bus level shifting.
Package and footprint — SC-70 / SOT-323
Supplied in the SC-70 / SOT-323 surface-mount package (Infineon code PG-SOT323-3-1), a three-pin SMD. The small footprint suits dense automotive ECU layouts.
Lifecycle and compliance
Product status is Active per Infineon's current lifecycle record. The AEC-Q101 automotive qualification means full PPAP documentation and a controlled change process. RoHS compliance is standard for this series.
