Pre-biased NPN in a tiny SC-70
The Infineon BCR142WE6327HTSA1 is an NPN pre-biased transistor — a switching transistor with two integrated bias resistors (22 kΩ base, 47 kΩ emitter-base) that eliminates the external resistor pair from the BOM. It is rated for 50 V collector-emitter breakdown and 100 mA continuous collector current, with a transition frequency of 150 MHz. The 250 mW power dissipation limit and SC-70 (SOT-323) package suit it for dense, low-power switching loads on small PCBs — relay drivers, LED indicators, logic-level translators, and sensor interfaces in industrial or consumer gear.
This part carries an Obsolete lifecycle status.
300 mV saturation at light drive — practical switching
Vce(sat) is specified at 300 mV maximum with 500 µA base current and 10 mA collector current — a realistic operating point for driving a small relay coil or an LED string. The 100 nA collector cutoff (ICBO) keeps leakage negligible in off-state.
