Pre-biased NPN for automotive and industrial loads
The Infineon BCR112WH6327 is an NPN pre-biased transistor in the SC-70 (SOT-323) package, carrying AEC-Q101 automotive qualification. It integrates two 4.7 kOhm resistors — one in series with the base, one between base and emitter — so the transistor turns on with a logic-level drive and no external bias network. The 100 mA collector current rating and 50 V collector-emitter breakdown voltage cover relay coils, solenoid drivers, indicator LEDs, and level-shifting interfaces in 12 V and 24 V automotive systems.
140 MHz fT — switching margin for PWM loads
With a transition frequency of 140 MHz, the BCR112WH6327 handles PWM frequencies well beyond the audio band and into the low-MHz range. For a typical automotive load like a 500 Hz relay or a 20 kHz LED dimmer, the switching edges stay clean and the saturation voltage stays at 300 mV maximum at 500 µA base drive and 10 mA collector current. The 100 nA collector cutoff current means off-state leakage is negligible in battery-powered modules.
SC-70 footprint and power handling
The SC-70 (SOT-323) body measures approximately 2.0 mm × 1.25 mm, fitting into dense layouts where board area is tight. Maximum power dissipation is 250 mW — adequate for the 100 mA collector current at moderate duty cycles, but the thermal limit should be checked if the transistor is run near its current rating continuously at high ambient temperature. The PG-SOT323-3-1 supplier package code identifies the Infineon-specific lead finish and die attach.
The AEC-Q101 grade means the part is released with automotive PPAP documentation and change notification, so production-line qualification is straightforward.
