Pre-biased NPN — what the built-in resistor saves you
The BCR 149F E6327: NPN pre-biased transistor in SOT-723 (PG-TSFP-3) with a 47 kOhm base resistor (R1). 50 V Vce, 70 mA Ic.
Saturation and gain — where the 300 mV drop matters
Vce saturation is specified at 300 mV maximum with a 500 µA base drive and 10 mA collector load, which means the transistor stays well into saturation for typical logic-level signals. The DC current gain minimum of 120 at 5 mA, 5 V ensures consistent drive strength across temperature. The 150 MHz transition frequency is high enough for PWM switching up to a few hundred kilohertz without significant switching loss.
