Pre-biased NPN for space-constrained switching
The BCR 142T E6327: The Infineon BCR 142T is an NPN pre-biased digital transistor in a SC-75 (SOT-416) surface-mount package. It integrates a 22 kOhm base resistor (R1) and a 47 kOhm emitter-base resistor (R2), eliminating the need for external bias components in low-current switching and driver applications. Rated for 100 mA collector current and 50 V collector-emitter breakdown, it suits relay drivers, LED switches, and logic-level interface circuits where board space is at a premium.
Built-in resistors simplify the BOM
The DC current gain (hFE) is a minimum of 70 at 5 mA, 5 V, which means a 100 µA base current from the logic pin can saturate the transistor with 10 mA of collector load. The 300 mV Vce saturation at 500 µA base, 10 mA collector confirms low on-state voltage drop for efficient switching.
Switching speed and leakage
Transition frequency is 150 MHz. Collector cutoff current is 100 nA maximum.
Active and available to source
No direct pin-compatible replacement is listed, but the BCR 142 family includes other pre-biased NPN variants in different resistor ratios or packages — verify the resistor values match your drive requirements before substituting.
