Pre-biased NPN in SOT-723 — what it saves on the board
The BCR 142F E6327: The Infineon BCR 142F is an NPN pre-biased transistor in a SOT-723 surface-mount package. It integrates a 22 kΩ base resistor (R1) and a 47 kΩ emitter-base resistor (R2), which means two external resistors are already inside the package — a direct BOM-line reduction for switching and driver stages where you would normally place discrete bias resistors. Rated for 50 V collector-emitter breakdown and 100 mA continuous collector current, with a transition frequency of 150 MHz — enough for general-purpose switching, relay drivers, and low-frequency inverter stages. The 250 mW power limit in SOT-723 means thermal management is straightforward in moderate ambient conditions.
Obsolete — sourcing through independent distribution
Infineon lists the BCR 142F as obsolete. No direct replacement order code is provided in the product status record.
