Complementary NPN/PNP pair in a single SOT-363
The Infineon BC846PNE6327BTSA1 packs an NPN and a PNP transistor into one 6-pin SOT-363 package, saving board space and simplifying layout for signal-level switching, amplification, and driver stages. Each transistor handles a collector current of 100 mA and a collector-emitter breakdown of 65 V, giving you headroom on 24 V and 48 V industrial rails. The 250 MHz transition frequency keeps it useful for low-frequency switching up to a few megahertz and for analog preamp stages.
Package and mounting
The 65 V VCEO rating is well above the 30 V you see on most small-signal dual transistors, so this part suits 24 V PLC I/O, 48 V telecom line drivers, and automotive 12 V systems with plenty of avalanche margin. The 650 mV VCE saturation at 5 mA base drive and 100 mA collector current is typical for a small-signal device; expect a bit more drop at higher currents or lower base drive.
Infineon lists the BC846PNE6327BTSA1 as obsolete. That means it is no longer in production and not available through the factory channel.
Package and hand-soldering notes
The SOT-363 (SC-88) package has a 0.65 mm pin pitch and the body is about 2.0 mm × 2.1 mm. It is hand-solderable with a fine chisel tip, good flux, and steady magnification — a hobbyist can manage it, but it is not a through-hole part. The supplier device package code is PG-SOT363-PO. The part ships in Tape & Reel, which is the standard for automated pick-and-place.
