General-purpose NPN in a small SMD package
The Infineon BC 846BW H6327 is a general-purpose NPN bipolar junction transistor in a surface-mount SC-70 (SOT-323) package. It is rated for a collector-emitter breakdown voltage of 65 V and a continuous collector current of 100 mA, with a power dissipation ceiling of 250 mW. The DC current gain (hFE) is a minimum of 200 at 2 mA collector current and 5 V VCE, and the transition frequency is 250 MHz.
The 65 V VCEO gives comfortable headroom for 24 V and 48 V industrial rails, but the 100 mA Ic limit means this transistor is sized for signal-level switching and low-power loads — not solenoid or relay drivers. The 250 mW package limit at the SC-70 footprint forces a derating check if you push above 50 mA continuous in a warm enclosure. The hFE floor of 200 at 2 mA is useful for analog gain stages and current mirrors where beta matching matters.
Obsolete — sourcing through independent distribution
The BC 846BW H6327 carries an Obsolete lifecycle status. For BOM lines that need this exact footprint and rating, supply is limited to surplus inventory and broker-channel stock.
