Fast-switching dual diode in a SOT-323 footprint
The Infineon BAV70WE6327 is a standard switching diode configured as a 1 Pair Common Cathode in a surface-mount SC-70 / SOT-323 package. Each diode handles 200 mA average rectified current.
The 4 ns reverse recovery time places this diode in the fast-switching class, not a general-purpose rectifier. In a flyback snubber or logic-level clamp, that recovery speed limits the stored-charge tail and reduces switching losses. The 1.25 V forward drop at 150 mA is typical for a small-signal Schottky alternative — but this is a standard PN junction, so the leakage at 70 V is 150 nA, which stays low across temperature compared to a Schottky.
Common-cathode pair: one package, two diodes
The 1 Pair Common Cathode configuration shares the cathode connection between both diodes, which is the typical pinout for dual-series clamping (e.g., protecting a differential bus line) or for a center-tapped steering circuit. The SOT-323 footprint is the same as a single SOT-23 but smaller — the BAV70WE6327 replaces two discrete SOD-123 or SOD-323 diodes in a single pick-and-place operation.
