What this standard switching diode pair delivers
The Infineon BAV 99 B5003 is a standard switching diode configured as one pair in series, housed in a PG-SOT23 surface-mount package. It is rated for 80 V DC reverse voltage and 200 mA average rectified current per diode, with a reverse recovery time of 4 ns. This makes it suitable for high-speed switching applications in signal conditioning, logic-level clamping, and general-purpose rectification up to 200 mA.
The 4 ns trr is the headline switching parameter. It allows clean, low-loss commutation in circuits running at moderate switching frequencies, such as flyback snubbers, relay-coil suppression, and high-speed logic-level translation. The 150 nA reverse leakage at 70 V ensures minimal off-state power loss in battery-powered or high-impedance nodes.
The BAV 99 B5003 carries an obsolete lifecycle status per the manufacturer.
