Schottky diode for low-voltage rectification and OR-ing
The Infineon BAT165E6327HTSA1 is a 40 V, 750 mA Schottky rectifier diode in a SOD-323 surface-mount package. It is designed for fast switching applications where low forward voltage drop and high switching speed are needed, such as polarity protection, freewheeling diodes, and DC-DC converter output rectification. The 740 mV forward voltage at 750 mA keeps conduction losses manageable in low-voltage rails, and the 12 pF junction capacitance at 10 V minimizes switching losses in high-frequency converters.
Forward voltage and thermal design
At the rated 750 mA forward current, the maximum forward voltage is 740 mV. The junction temperature limit is 150 °C.
Switching speed and capacitance
Classified as Fast Recovery (≤ 500 ns, > 200 mA), this diode handles moderate-speed switching without the reverse-recovery losses of a standard pn-junction rectifier. The 12 pF capacitance at 10 V, 1 MHz is low enough for use in snubber circuits and high-frequency rectification up to several megahertz, though the 500 ns recovery time is the practical limit for hard-switched topologies.
For new designs, this part carries no supply-risk flags from the manufacturer.
